Senior Mobile Engineer (Kotlin)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Kotlin Developer with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality Android applications for some of our US Clients. This role requires not only strong technical expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, CI/CD tools, automated UI testing, and Cloud technologies but also solid communication, leadership, business understanding, and critical thinking skills. 

 Key Responsibilities 

• Lead Android development projects, ensuring high code quality, performance, and maintainability. 
• Design, develop, review, and manage Android application code and services for both production and pre-release environments. Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning, standups, code reviews, and retrospectives. Collaborate closely with Project Managers to align product development with business goals.
• Proactively identify technical risks, gaps, or improvements across the mobile architecture and propose solutions. 
• Drive continuous improvement in codebase, tools, processes, and team capabilities.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and propose feasible technical solutions. 
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills: 

• 4+ years of hands-on Android development experience. 
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin (and familiarity with Java for legacy support). 
• Solid understanding of MVVM / Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and modular app design. 
• Practical experience with Jetpack Compose, Android Jetpack libraries (Room, Navigation, WorkManager, ViewModel, DataStore). 
• Proficient with Coroutines, Flow, and Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger). 
• Skilled in API integration (REST, GraphQL) and offline data handling. 
• Experience with Firebase (FCM, Analytics, Crashlytics) and Push Notifications. 
• Knowledge of unit/UI testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows. 
• Understanding of Material Design, UI/UX best practices, and app performance optimization. 
• Strong problem-solving, and ownership mindset. 
• Good communication skills in English.

 Nice to have: 

• Familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMM), Compose Multiplatform, or modular monorepo setups.
• Experience with Google Play release process, security best practices, and performance profiling tools.
